Jim Acosta (Full name: Abilio James Acosta) is an American journalist and correspondent. Currently, he serves at CNN as the anchor for weekend programming and chief domestic affairs correspondent based in Washington, D. C. Previously, Acosta worked as the national political correspondent for CNN, and the White House correspondent during the Trump and Obama administration. He joined CNN in April 2007 and covered the 2008 presidential campaigns of Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Throughout his career, Acosta has achieved several awards such as The National Association of Hispanic Journalists 2017 Presidential Award, an Emmy for CNN team 2012 presidential campaign coverage. In 2019, the New York Press Club honored him with the annual “Truth to Power” award.
